Every user-facing milestone lands on this page as it ships, newest first. Each one is marked Free or Pro so you always know which side of the line it lives on — and the line itself is spelled out below.
Free is the whole planner, not a teaser — the math never goes behind the paywall. Pro is what happens around the plan: keeping it saved, synced, and ready to hand to someone.
The trail so far. New milestones appear here the same day they ship.
The rebrand: Pebble the penguin walks the free planner, the Emperor runs the Pro winter — new name, new art, new home at snowballpenguin.app, same math.
Restore purchase now emails a sign-in link to the address you paid with, and Pro turns on when you open it — knowing someone's email no longer unlocks their purchase. Restored Pro lasts while that device stays signed in.
Add to calendar saves the check-in as an all-day event that repeats every month, with a morning alert and a link back to your plan. The file is made on your device.
A new debt scrolls into view ready to name, a deleted one can be undone, strategy cards show the interest each order saves, and every pop-up now works with a keyboard and a screen reader.
Marking this month's payment now applies it: each balance drops by what the plan says you paid, the record counts real dollars gone, and the debt-free date stops sliding while you wait for statements. Update balances opens a place to type the statement numbers, and un-marking puts everything back.
Signup asks for each debt's APR — leave it blank and the plan uses 22% and says so until you fix it. Every date in the app, the PDF, and the spreadsheet now counts this month as month one, so a 0% promo ending in November counts November's payment, and every screen shows the same monthly total.
Every check-in is kept: the month, the payment you marked, your balances as they stood. Pro shows it — months logged, your streak, the dollars actually gone, and a real-progress line on the Balances page.
Mark your first payment and Pebble celebrates, then offers 30 days of Pro free — no waiting for the first payoff. Say no there and the first cleared debt asks once more.
Monthly subscribers manage or cancel the plan from The Emperor page through Stripe — no email to support required. Sync now runs only for Pro, as the pricing page always said.
A paid-off debt's minimum now rolls onto the next target every month, the way the snowball is supposed to work. Debt-free dates moved earlier for everyone; the step list badges every above-minimum payment honestly.
When the first debt clears, Pebble celebrates with you before anyone mentions Pro. Keep going, then the earned free month appears.
Mark as paid is the one loud button. Updating balances, a private share line, and a calendar reminder stay one tap away as text links.
Pro is cloud sync and a PDF you would actually hand to someone — $49 lifetime or $5/mo. Free stays $0. No sold features we have not shipped.
Leave mid-setup and come back: names, balances, and extra payment are still there. Empty nicknames cannot complete, and the demo path is unchanged.
The round trip: log payments and balances in your workbook, paste its link in Settings, and the planner pulls your latest numbers back in — charts, projections, and check-in included. No Google login needed.
The PDF export grew up: the Emperor on the page, your debt-free date and interest saved up top, a march-to-zero chart with every payoff milestone, and year-by-year progress bars.
One click builds a personal .xlsx workbook — a row for every future month, payments prefilled, plus a dashboard that updates itself as you log what you paid. Opens straight into Google Sheets.
This page: every shipped milestone, badged Free or Pro — plus a Learn section in the app sidebar linking here, to the method, and to the DIY prompts.
Mark this month’s payment done and the whole Overview flips to a green "Paid for this month" state instead of asking again.
The Emperor opened for business: $49 lifetime or $5/mo, unlocked by your first paid-off debt with 30 days of Pro free.
Clear your first debt and the countdown of your 30 free Pro days lives in the sidebar, with one tap to make it permanent.
A free /diy page with copy-paste AI prompts that build the snowball in a spreadsheet — no app required, no strings.
No more zoom-on-focus on iPhone, modals that scroll on small screens, and every route verified at phone width.
The rebrand: Atlas the ant carries the free planner, the Queen runs the Pro colony — new art, new domain, same math.
An earned free month started on one device now migrates to your account on sign-in instead of being trapped in one browser.
A standalone methodology page explaining the snowball, the rollover rule, and exactly what the planner calculates.
Cards with a promotional APR are simulated at the promo rate until the deadline, then the real rate — with warnings when the plan misses the promo window.
Drag through the months of your payoff and watch every balance fall — the plan as a movie, not a table.
One long page became a real app: Overview, Debts, Strategy, Balances, and Settings, each with a job.
Type in debts, pick snowball, avalanche, or cash-flow, and see your debt-free date — all in the browser, no account.
The free plan takes about 90 seconds to build — no signup, no bank connection.
